On this morning tour around Chiang Mai you travel like a local as we utilize Chiang Mai's various public transport options to make our way between the mornings attractions. It will be an early pick up as we need to coincide our alms giving with the monks early morning alms rounds around the city. After visiting the market you will get the opportunity to provide the alms to the monks in return for a blessing. On the next part of the tour we will spend our time in and around the old city of Chiang Mai as we visit three of Chiang Mai's most important temples. We will pay a visit to one of Chiang Mai's most well visited temples Wat Phra Singh in the center of the old city, We will then move on to Wat Chedi Luang The main feature of this temple is the large central Chedi, once in the past this was the highest structure in Chiang Mai and could be seen from miles around, A large chunk of the main Chedi is missing after earthquake damage last century. We will proceed on to Wat Si Suphan, this small temple has been adorned with silver work which is very typical of the area that this temple is situated in.
